“She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within.” - Beauty and the Beast Wedding season is in full bloom and this year is extra special to me as the big day has finally come, and my best friend of 10 years is finally married. From the proposal, bachelorette party, bridal shower and finally the wedding, it has been a long time coming with lots of planning and preparations (check the insta for pictures of all). Nevertheless, being a Maid of Honor was the best job I could have ever asked for, was so much fun and so rewarding. Thankfully not only the bride was able to get her squad, but also I was so lucky to have had all of my girls (bridesmaids) with me to get me through it all. Honestly, I don't know what I would of do without them. As Maid of Honor, I was able to wear many hats. I was an event coordinator, designer, stylist, florist, photographer; you name it. But my ultimate favorite was being her makeup artist for the special day. When Victoria (best friend) asked me to do her makeup on her special day, I had to say "YES" right away, as it took us back to our high school memories but at least this time I have a bit more of experience. We did about three different look trials for the big day from deep colors to light, elegant ones, which ultimately we ended up with the perfect one for her and her "Beauty and the Beast" wedding theme. She did not only looked gorgeous, but she made her vision a reality. She became the princess she always dreamed of, and she had the best squad to accompany her on her special day. As for the bridesmaids, our dresses were red wine, all different to show our personalities. But yet we wanted also to represent the Rose, which is all about life and love and for our best friend special day, we wanted to portray that in any possible way.
