Good Vibes Only - Ipsy Glam Bag August Review

Bonjour!

Welcome back to The Daily Sash, and if you are new feel at home, stay a while and let's talk about beauty. Today we have many new products that I am so glad Ipsy introduced me to this past month. Brands such as Make Up Forever, Pacifica, Sundays, Hey Honey, and my latest favorite First Aid Beauty are on the list today!

First, if you don’t know what IPSY is, IPSY is a makeup and beauty subscription “glam bag” that comes with 5 different beauty products each month for only $10 a month. There is no waiting list, and you can sign up here super easy. Each month IPSY releases a new theme for their bags, and all products reflect that theme. This month of August their theme is “Good Vibes Only, ” and they released three different designs for their bags. The bags were inspired by sparkly summer sunsets, the magic of the universe and the free spirits everywhere. I got the “Wild & Free” bag inspired by the magic of the universe.

So let’s start.

I got to say that this bad boy from First Aid Beauty has become my favorite cleanser to day; I love the smell, the effectiveness and the after feeling of this product. The red clay, one of the main ingredients in this product is gentle to the skin, and it is excellent at absorbing impurities. The rosemary leaf oil is amazing at unclogging pores and helps you tone your skin. And lastly, the glycerin as it’s a natural humectant helps hydrate and smooth skin’s appearance, and for this and more, I love it. I will definitely be buying this product in the future once I’m done with this sample size from IPSY.

This super cute duo of blushes from Pacifica is the only blush set you need. Having coconut as their main ingredient, it has glow-getting and anti-aging properties. Both shades of blush are soft and flattering to any shade of skin, and of course, they are super pigmented, so you can go for a subtle hint of color or go for a bold look. Overall the size of this duo, it’s great that it even comes with a reversible mirror, something you don’t see lately.

Named one of the best Nail Salons in NYC by Refinery29, Sundays has created a collection of non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free nail polishes. I received the No.28; it’s a soft violet color, perfect for fall, which I love. The formula goes smoothly during application, and it actually dries quite quickly. I’ve been wearing the nail polish for about two weeks now, I’ve been to the lake, gone to the gym and wore heels on night outs and it still is on. It kind of reminds me of the Essie nail polish, just a bit pricier. lol

Okay… If you have read my previous beauty post where I talk about how hard is for me to actually find a mascara that can work against my “waterfall” eyelashes. Well, I have found a match, and I am absolutely in love. Make Up Forever did it again, finally, a mascara that isn’t heavy and will actually create length and volume to my eyelashes. I need more of this ASAP!

Okay, y'all know that since I started IPSY, I fell in love with the Hey Honey brand and products. Through IPSY I’ve been able to try primers, cleansers, moisturizers, and face masks from this brand and oh boy this little baby didn’t disappoint. As I mentioned earlier, this month I received two facial cleansers I used this baby on my must busy and longest days for the past month now that I used the First Aid Beauty cleanser on my daily routine. The Hey Honey facial scrub helped me get rid of all impurities and dirty after those days, and it exfoliated my face for a gentle, brighter and soft finish with a long lasting vanilla smell. Personally, I would only use this scrub only once a week just to give my face a more thorough cleaning and restore my face moisture to normal, especially now that fall is coming.

So this is it for this post, I hope you keep enjoying my IPSY Series and get to learn about different products that you might like to try. I know that sometimes when we go to the beauty store, we get so overwhelmed that we don’t even know where to start or what to get because there are always so many products. So I hope I can help you decide better on your next visit to the beauty store.
